This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Do you remember having Science lessons and not having science experiments? Please help my class have hands on exciting Science Lessons.
My students attend an urban elementary school in a lower socioeconomic neighborhood in Louisiana.
Our students are in grades PK through 6th. The majority of them receive free lunch services. We also have a population of homeless students. My students are hard workers, enthusiastic, and enjoy new challenges.
My Project
We want to setup a rich environment that fosters inquiry learning. STEM is learning for the 21st Century! My students need an opportunity to think about their thinking by engaging in lessons that integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. They will predict, build, problem solve, and use technology to document experiences.
Students learn best by doing and not just reading about it in a book.
I am requesting the following resources various science materials, life science centers ,five senses learning lab, a plant lab, a lady bug land kits, a 3 D science viewers ,jumbo magnetic balls, two small carpets, and a mini iPad and other STEM resources.
These resources will be used this year and in the future. This project is important to my class because I would like to build students who can prosper in the STEM field.
