My Students

Our students come to school eager to learn with their mind and heart open for everything their teachers have to offer.

School is a very important part of our students' lives.

We teach at a Title I school with over 70% of our students receiving a free or reduced-price lunch and all of our students get free breakfast in the mornings. We have a backpack program that sends home food with kids over the weekend and offers free lunch for students over the summer break.

My Project

STEM time (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math time) is all about having fun while using higher-level thinking to solve and create various masterpieces! The students in my class have stem bins with different types of building materials. The students are able to create and build using their imagination. We would love to add the magnet tiles as another option.

In my classroom,I see the love of creating and building and want to help nurture that passion so that they will learn problem solving skills to help them throughout their lives.

Integrating more STEM materials into my classroom will help my students by challenging them to use higher level thinking and problem-solving.
