My Students

Our building is Title 1 and full of students who love to learn! My students are mostly black and brown. They come to school with a love to learn and a lot of energy! Many of our students are interested in science and engineering!

My Project

These STEM books will help foster an interest in science and engineering. Teaching STEM in our building is part of a bigger, wide scale racial equity program. Our students deserve the same opportunities and advantages as other students. They deserve to see more people that look like them in the field of science. Many of the STEM books in our building are old and out of date. We will be using these books to build their interest in science and coding with new materials. The students love to read new and exciting books and these will help foster their love of learning and inquiry at the same time!

Ms. Holden Obama Elementary School Grades 3-5
