My Project

The items in my project are open ended and creative tools to help further my students critical thinking skills. I will pair these items with specific tasks in specialized centers to spark their science and engineering skills. The children will work together in pairs or teams to complete these tasks. This will also help foster their team building and cooperative skills that will be used in many other aspects of their personal and school life for years to come.

My goal for this project is to get quality and diverse materials to create STEM bins that can be utilized from the very first day of school.

These will be used with children, who otherwise may not be able to access such items that could be used to foster this type of learning. Our school and the students are in a rural community with limited access to extra curricular activities in science or engineering. This project would help spark that interest in children that may never have had the opportunity before.
