This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a second year teacher, I am still figuring out how to best support my students. This will be my first year in 1st grade after teaching Kindergarten last year. I know that with this age group, it is necessary to keep their hands busy and their minds turning.
I want to utilize magnetic tiles, LEGOs, playdough, and other STEM bins in my classroom that will rotate between tables.
Students will use these daily as an activity to foster creativity, problem solving skills, and communication between them. I am so excited about the prospect of bringing these bins to life and I know my students will love them.
