My Project

STEM has become a priority in schools to help students gain the knowledge they need to make effective career choices. However, the majority of the funding for STEM goes to junior high and high school students. At our school we believe that a love of STEM begins in elementary school.

Our goal is to create a STEM library where students can explore and build skills that will lead to life long love of science, technology, engineering and math.

As a rural school, we need a variety of supplies to help meet this goal.

We would like a microscope and blank slides so our students can explore science by making their own cheek cell slides and compare them to plant cells. We would like to explore technology using robots like the Sphero to help us learn to code. We will use the 3D printer to complete engineering challenges. The math games will help us improve our computation skills.
