My Project

I teach special needs students who struggle with emotions and learning. When they become frustrated, learning is not taking place. I have noticed that when I bring my Lego sets from home and allow them time to build, they become calmer and are more receptive to learning. Legos are a sought after commodity because of the ability to be creative. Sets will allow my students to follow directions and create a master piece. When complete they can take them down and allow their own imagination to come out. The art pieces selected are especially good at allowing this. The students can also use the sets to assist in learning the difficult Algebra and Geometry concepts and they can see them being applied in real life.
