Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting STEM and art items for my students, such as magnetic tile building blocks, Legos, wooden birdhouse craft kits, wooden model car kits, peel and stick sand art kits, and window paint art suncatcher craft kits. These items will provide my students with hands-on, interactive learning experiences that foster creativity and critical thinking. These materials will allow students to explore concepts in engineering and design through building and constructing, while also encouraging fine motor skills and imaginative play. The art materials will promote self-expression and allow students to engage in sensory experiences that enhance their artistic skills.

My primary goal for this project is to create an engaging learning environment that promotes STEM and artistic exploration, especially during times when regular activities may be canceled.

I aim to inspire curiosity and innovation in my students, helping them develop problem-solving skills and a love for learning through hands-on experiences. Additionally, I hope to foster teamwork and collaboration as students work together on projects, encouraging social skills and communication.

My students are a diverse group, each with unique strengths and perspectives. They are curious, eager to learn, and thrive in hands-on environments where they can explore and experiment. Many of them come from different backgrounds and experiences, which enriches our classroom community. Their enthusiasm for learning and their creativity make them special, and I want to provide them with the tools they need to continue exploring and expressing themselves in meaningful ways.
