My Students

This year I am so excited to be looping with my class from first grade. They are such a wonderful bunch of students who love coming to school every day, so much many of them wish that we went to school on the weekends!

My students are from diverse backgrounds and cultures, many are English Language Learners, speaking and navigating two languages.

They love hands-on learning projects, building and creating.

We are a Title I school, and we do not get a lot of extra money for materials for the classroom. I spend a lot of my own money to get things for the students and need some help being able to complete this vision of STEM projects for my students this year!!

My Project

My students love hands-on learning experiences and are much more engaged when they have hands-on learning activities. Our school is considered a Biosmart STEM school, but we have not had the funds to help make this more unique.

I wanted to have STEM activities available for the students when they finish their breakfast and when they get done with their work throughout the day.

Our school does not have magnatiles or building sticks but I know the kids would love being able to use these to create and build different things.

My class loves building and creating things so I wanted to get STEM activities for them to be able to continue building and creating this school year.
