My Project

I have always found that learning about space is an exciting topic for my middle school students. I have taken a student-driven approach to this unit, allowing my students questions and curiosities to guide the lessons that I teach. Many students have asked if we can do a project where they can make planet models.

This project will allow my students the opportunity to engage in a hands-on activity where they will create each of the planets to create a classroom solar system.

The materials, such as styrofoam balls, paint and paint brushes will benefit my students and allow them to tap into their creativity. My students deserve access to materials that allow them to explore their interests in the subject of science.

As an educator, when a group of students asks to complete a project I feel I cannot deny them the opportunity. Thank you for supporting my students in their exploration of the universe!
