This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hi! I have been teaching for the past 15 years. For most of my career I have been teaching 5th grade. For this school year, I have decided to take a chance and become the STEAM coach for my school. This year I will be servicing all grades K-8.

We tend to use the phrase "Miami is the melting pot of the world," where cultures unite as one.

If I had to describe my class, that would be a perfect description. Not only is my class a blend of different cultures, but also a blend of personalities. I have several students with special needs, as well as students who need a little boost to get them caught up.

My Project

After teaching through a pandemic, I realized that many of my students have limited access to fun, educational programs online. This year in our classrooms I would like to expose my students to different programs available for STEAM, such as creating 3D images online, or using a program called MERGE that brings topics studied in science to life. The computers will also help with creating word documents and PowerPoints for class presentations. Having iPADs in the classroom will be a great addition to my classroom. My student will absolutely love using iPADs.
