My Project

I teach second graders Brazilian Portuguese while I give science, math and socials studies content. Learning a language through content is very challenging, but my students love it.

When you have more hands-on activities in the classroom, students tend to be more engaged.

Science and math are very important subjects. Just talking about concepts doesn't have the same effect as when you show them happening with materials.

It is very important that I continue to teach students the language skills and use science and math to make it practical and fun.
