My Students

My students are very diverse and come from varied multicultural backgrounds. School is their place to explore and be creative.

I help my students to understand the concept of YET.

They may not know a lot yet, but they will! We learn about perseverance. If they keep trying they can beat the odds and achieve their goals and dreams. They may be only 5 and 6 but they have big dreams. My hope is to help build self-confidence and to help them get the educational foundation they need.

My Project

I teach at a recently accredited STEAM school. I would like to create individual STEAM morning bins for my students. Having a variety of manipulatives to build and design creations allows for creativity and and development. In kindergarten hands on activities are so important, not only for creativity, but for fine motor skills as well. The individual bins will allow each student to choose a building material of their choice for their morning work. Getting the creative juices following first thing in the morning will allow for amore productive learning environment all day.
