STEAM STORE Makers Market

Help me give my students materials to use in a makers fair. The profits from the sale will go to our backpack program so they can learn to give back to our community!

My Project

Our second graders have been learning about economics, money, needs/wants and creating in makerspace. This project-based activity will allow all of these skills to come together. The students will be creating and designing items to be sold in a "Steam Makers Fair". They will create art pieces as well as useful items such as keychains, soap, jewelry, and sewing. They will use the profits to donate to our building program that is helping to combat food insecurities in our district. Our goal is to show the community how creative our children are and how big their hearts are for giving back.
