Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom consists of 20 preschoolers, several of whom have special needs. The majority of my students are English language learners with various backgrounds.

I have a diverse group of students who are curious learners and love to share their experiences.

While many of my students are new to the country, this is also their first time in a school setting. Please help me provide them with the resources and opportunities to further their experiences and expand their knowledge to help them feel and become successful.

My Project

I want to provide my students with more opportunities for hands on exploration and observation in the classroom. Through materials such as sea shells and water blocks, they will be able to explore topics such as nature, sink/float and balance as well as have conversations about their findings.

My students will have the opportunity to work together, problem solve and use their imagination as they work to build various structures.

Community is an important lesson we teach in PreK. With the LEGO community kit, light table manipulatives, building bricks and math magnetic games, they will also be able to learn about our environment while collaborating to create a community of their own.
