Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is to enhance STEAM education in our classroom. The hands-on items requested will nurture creativity and critical thinking. I would like to introduce fun resources such as tempera art sticks, modeling clay, and linking cubes. The tempera paint will allow them to experiment with color and texture. The modeling clay will give students the opportunity to sculpt their ideas into reality. Modeling clay will also encourage tactile learning and problem solving skills. Linking cubes offer endless opportunities for experimentation and discovery. These versatile manipulatives are great for counting. Additionally, linking cubes can be used to construct simple structures and making patterns. By supporting our classroom with these STEAM materials, you will be helping my students nurture their creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative skills.
