Welcome to our school with all of our amazing students! We are an inner-city school with over 540 PreK-6 grade students, all who receive free breakfast and lunch. Students keep thanking me for the new resources and supplies and I tell them it couldn’t happen without your support!
Being a STEAM school, it is essential that I explore and introduce hands on, STEAM activities so that my students are exposed to new science, technology, engineering, arts and math curriculum.
I have been lucky enough to be teaching at the same school for 24 years and am grateful each and every day for my students.
My Project
These STEM / STEAM resources will help my students learn about circuits, the human body, bacteria, volcanoes, recycling as well as other science and technology topics.
Through design and problem/project-based, hands-on learning, students will understand how science, technology, engineering, art and math are integrated into each other.
Integrating our school’s STEAM curriculum into our everyday teaching along with the Flying Classroom curriculum is our goal. With these resources, we can make this happen. The Magic School Bus kits, test tubes and circuit kit will give my students so many opportunities to explore, experiment and learn necessary concepts that are essential to their learning.
