My Students

My class is group of students who a driven to become leaders in their community. They come to school with a fire in their bellies to learn. My diverse class means that I have many different learning styles in my room. My school is located in an area where not all of my student leaders have the means to enhance their learning at home. They are very driven to want to do well and learn new things.

One of the my goals is to give my students many different experiences with STEAM.

These projects enhance their learning. While these projects are great, they take a lot of resources. I am constantly looking for ways to get new resources.

I want to be able to give the scholars the experience that they deserve to have. I want to create an environment that is nurturing, engaging, and welcoming.

Distance learning has proven to be a challenge to some students but I am happy to say that all my students have risen to the challenge. They are showing great stamina and discipline making sure that their work is done on a daily basis.

My Project

I plan to incorporate these materials into my classroom next year. For now, I plan to make cards so that I can connect to my students and let them know that I am thinking about them. I want to be able to make well wishes for them. It is very important to me that I stay connected to my students. We were abruptly thrown into this situation. I want to brighten their day by sending them cards of encouragement. I will also use their ideas to create some materials for my future classes. I plan to make items with them when we have our virtual meet-ups.
