Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a high poverty and ethnically diverse school district, my students are faced with many challenges. Despite so many hardships, my students are very eager to learn. They love to build and create and will appreciate the new materials. My students are full of life and are excited to learn. I believe in them and I want them to believe they can do anything.

STEAM provides wonderful ways to enrich their learning through multiple pathways and provides my young students with creative and meaningful learning experiences while having fun!

STEM activities focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, cooperative learning and teamwork.

I hope to inspire my early learners to continue on a path of academic excellence. They are our future and I want to give them the best start on their educational journey

My Project

My students will explore using the STEM Classroom Bundle, which provides the age-appropriate introduction to many sciences, technology, engineering and math concepts.

They will explore the wonders of magnetism and engineering, sink and float, simple machines, and the science of movement with colorful, engaging tools and hands-on activities and experiments.

The simple machines; like the pulley and ramp will be used in their block play to explore and test how they make work easier. We will explore with the sink and float materials and the vehicles they construct themselves.

Coding and programming are important knowledge and skills they need in the future and they will learn through the programmable mouse game.
