My Project
Every morning my fourth graders come into my room and immediately get started on our STEAM bin activities. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. This routine helps them be creative and engaged the moment they walk into my classroom. I have been doing STEAM bins since September and it is one of my students favorite activities.
Help keep up the excitement STEAM bins provide by donating resources so the activities can change on a consistent basis.
I like to change out some of the activities every month so that my students don't get bored of the same supplies over and over. I like to create activities that go with our monthly themes. I would love for my STEAM library to grow, so students are exposed to a variety of different resources such as clay, Lego Gears, and art supplies. Teachers Pay Teachers has thematic activities that go with Geoboards, Pattern Blocks, and Legos. These will be part of a rotation so students can look forward to trying something new and continue to be engaged throughout the year.
