The use of technology MacBook during whole class instruction can foster student engagement and increase learning growth within the classroom. Students who are auditory or visual learners can especially benefit. Teachers can utilize digital presentation materials, interactive materials (I.e. Nearpod or Flip), or gamification tools (I.e. Blooket, Kahoot, Boom) that allows students to practice skills and provides teachers instant data on a students' understanding.
Having reliable, working instructional technology will allow me to connect my class to others in the world that they can learn from, share with, and possibly even help.
The students in the IB school where I teach are challenged to think critically, ask questions, and consider different disciplines. We aim to develop students who are knowledgeable, caring, and motivated to succeed. Technology integration is a valuable tool to help students develop as 21st century learners in a global community.
With instructional technology that works well I can create and present amazing learning experiences in my classroom to engage students; and connect students to other children in the global community to discuss guided questions. In addition, with a push of a button I can bring experts to my students without the expert having to leave their workspace, or the students having to leave the classroom.
