My Students
A winner is someone who recognizes their God-given talents, works to develop them into the highest level skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals.
Unfortunately, not all students have access to proper workout and training equipment to accomplish his or her goals.
My students work hard to grow, to learn and to succeed.
90 percent of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. At 24.2 percent, Mississippi has one of the highest poverty levels in the United States. 90 percent of the basketball team members live in poverty and are plagued by social and environmental barriers that hinder access to the constructive physical activities that promote social and academic success.
Due to the extreme poverty, team members cannot afford the uniforms, shoes, registration fees, and other costs associated with organized youth athletics. The school has limited resources for in-school activities and even less for non-school hour enrichment activities.
My Project
The materials in this project will help create a safe environment for my student athletes. Due to the recent surge of COVID-19, My athletes and I are being even more cautious and doing everything that we possibly can to stop and slow the spread of COVID. Each and every material in this project will be used by students athletes to keep them healthy while participating in athletic activities and events. Mask and hand sanitizer will be constantly used each day at practice, games, and during school hours. Disinfectant laundry detergent and spray will be used to eliminate all germs that could make our athletes sick. Help me keep my athletes healthy!
