My Project

In today’s rapidly changing world, staying informed about current events is essential for young people. Many students lack access to age-appropriate news sources that present information in an engaging and understandable format. A subscription to Scholastic News will not only keep my students informed but also cultivate a habit of reading and discussing news topics, thereby enhancing their overall literacy and critical thinking skills.

My Goal for this project is provide my students with reliable information about local, national, and global issues.

These magazines will encourage discussions around current events, helping students develop their analytical skills. I plan to utilize the engaging articles to improve reading comprehension and vocabulary.

If we receive this subscription, my fifth graders will receive digital and print options of Scholastic News Monthly. It will give them an opportunity to stay current with the world around them as well as giving me an opportunity to cover many reading, social studies, math, and science standards.
