This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low income high poverty school, our student athletes are faced with many challenges inside and outside of the classroom. We are looking to keep the students motivated to live healthy and active lifestyles by keeping them engaged in positive activities such as basketball. Having a healthier life can build self confidence which is what the majority of our students need. Playing basketball will help these students cope with the everyday struggles in their own personal lives. Our students do not have the means to help fundraise for the team, nor do they have the contacts to reach in order to donate money for their team.
My Project
The sanitizer and sneeze guards will help us ensure the safety and health of our students and ourselves. These items are so important to have on hand daily during these difficult times. We will make sure to clean all surfaces using these items multiple times each day. We want to make sure we are doing everything in our power to help our students stay healthy in a sanitized classroom. Thank you for considering to donate to our project. We greatly appreciate you and your support during these times. We hope you and your family stay safe and healthy.
