Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a School Nurse at a charter school in North Las Vegas, NV. The school site I work for is a Title I school with a high poverty rate, many of whom are English Language Learners and 100% qualify for free or reduced lunch.

Students will benefit from your donation by receiving masks, first-aid supplies, and personal hygiene products.

My Project

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted students' physical, emotional, social and mental well-being. Our students have been greatly affected due to health disparities, socioeconomic inequalities and racial disparities. By meeting their physical well-being while at school, students are able to stay in class preventing further learning loss.

These supplies will allow health office personnel to support students’ individual needs and provide efficient first aid treatments.

Students will remember the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. They will also remember all the available resources provided by teachers, mentors and school staff to optimize their in-person learning.
