This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a mainly Spanish/Chinese community. This year will be very different since we will be half in school and half online. I would like to help my students stay safe and have their personal belongings separate from everyone else.
My students all speak English as a second language.
My students are very special because they are trying their best to learn in a language that isn’t that familiar to them. They try their best and come to school happy and ready to learn something new every day. My students deserve to learn in an environment where they feel loved, comfortable, and motivated to learn. These are students who don’t always live with their parents. They often don’t receive the love they deserve. I want to give them a classroom they deserve!
My Project
These materials will allow students to feel comfortable in school because they know that they will be able to be clean, healthy, and safe. They can focus on learning and not getting sick! Many will come in with anxiety and nerves but these materials will make them feel better. We will teach the students different ways to use the materials that we donated. this way they know how to use them properly. We need to make sure our students are safe this school year and in turn, you will be safe too!
