My Project

My students are young adults that need distractors to help them focus.

My students have difficulty maintaining attention thus they need an outlet to expend some of their physical energy; and this is why fidget toys work well for them.

The OT assigned to my student's was the 1st to start this technique with my students and it worked! Since then I have a student who uses a vibrating pillow behind his back and this helps him focus better on the task at hand. Another student will work on a math lesson with music playing on his headphones. Another student uses a fidget toy while doing academics as it helps him lower distractions outside of his own space. These distractions that I provide them keeps their focus on their academics, and their high energy is expended on their fidget toy/pillow.

This is the reason I would like vibrating pillows and fidget toys for my students. They need distractors to help them use their extra physical energy, while their mental energy is focused on the task at hand. Thank you!
