My Project

As second graders we are always learning about students in different parts of the world. My students are fascinated about learning about the new habits and traditions of students around the world. These students will have an opportunity to show compassion towards others through food.

-Students will be taught lessons on REThinkED: Passion to Care and Empathy about compassion, care, and empathy.

Students are able to gain knowledge about how their actions can contribute to making the world better through compassion and showing care and empathy for others in the school.

–After learning about how to show compassion to others. They will provide kindness through food to show other students that no matter what you are going through it can get better in time. The students will take turns during recess time to go to different classrooms to uplift the students' spirits through understanding and learning about them.

––The whole class will have to explain how showing compassion has helped them as individuals, and how did the other students feel when they were showing care and empathy for other students? The students will write a paragraph about their understanding of compassion.

These snacks will be beneficial for nutritional needs: chips, cookies, peppermints, and crackers. Also, the shelf will be used to store the food, and decide which classes to go to next.
