Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It is important to be informed and up to date with what is happening in our community and global society. Time for Kids and Scholastic News Magazines allow students to engage with that is current, relatable, and relevant in an appropriate way. These magazines will be sent home on a monthly basis with the hope that the students to engage in meaningful conversations at home with their own families. Even at their age, fourth graders have a powerful voice that deserves to be heard. Thanks to these articles they will be practicing literacy skills as well as social. I look forward to seeing them engage in a purposeful way with the various texts.
