My Project

Both basketball and soccer are fun and exciting sports! Children play soccer and basketball naturally, with very little initial instruction. As their skills develop, children will learn to think creatively and strategically, just like the game of chess, but played on a field or court. Soccer and basketball are also a perfect combination of individual activity and team strategy. Second graders will work closely as a team to score. Children will learn important character-building traits such as working hard, perseverance, and good sportsmanship.

Sports allow children to stay active and healthy while also allowing students to develop healthy peer-group interactions and learn how to build friendships during practices, games, and team activities.

Both soccer and basketball require and produce exceptional fitness. It's a game in which players move constantly at various speeds and in various directions for a period of time. The children will accelerate forward and move laterally all the time. These are just some of the reasons it is important for my students to play sports.

Your donation to this project will foster healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Through sports, both children and parents will be empowered with the knowledge and tools to enjoy an active lifestyle.
