Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are resourceful, energetic, and creative when they are participating in physical education. With the limited space we have, my students are able to adapt and work through any obstacles. The students and I work together to create games that would benefit us all and fulfill individual goals.

Our students have to share equipment to make our classwork successfully.

I would usually have the students work in groups to help them work on their social-emotional skills. The students find ways to help each other and support one another. I find myself in awe countless times where my students would work together to accomplish their individual goals.

My Project

The materials will be used in school during recess and Physical Education. With the increase in "in-person learning" there is not enough equipment to hand out to the students. Learning becomes limited to a certain extent without much equipment to work with. Most students learn important life skills through hands-on experience. Without much experience throwing or catching, students can potentially lose out on important skills needed later on in life.

This equipment will allow students to work on games such as: 4 square, kickball, throwing/catching, volleying, kickball, passing, and so much more.

Especially with the TK/K students, having place markers/poly-spots will allow them to know where they need to be when lining up for exercises. All of this equipment will be used in many creative games where the students will find themselves having fun and learning more about themselves and physical education.
