My Students

Our school serves a multicultural, diverse student population in grades preK-5. While we provide rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment, we need to expose more students to the arts through musical theater.

Our large English as a Second Language Learner population would benefit from the kinesthetic, visual, and auditory learning modalities employed in musical theater.

Below, you will see a photo of my students working diligently to brainstorm about creating rubrics to evaluate performances. Please help! Thanks!

My Project

Students will use these resources to stay socially distanced and safe. The vinyl spot markers give students a visual cue that they must still maintain three feet of distancing while still enjoying various fun activities in the classroom. They will be used for dramatic play activities, guided story adventures, and identifying the parts of the stage when rehearsing for performances.

While students are happy to be physically back together at school, their innocence and longing to be back in school means they sometimes forget about the dangers of being physically close.

Until they are able to be fully vaccinated, these spot markers will help everyone have fun while still staying safe.
