My Students

My kindergarten class is consisted of 25 English language learners and our school is a Title I school. Out of the 25 students, 5 of them have special needs. Each one of them is unique and they have different learning styles, personalities, strengths, and capabilities.

We fit perfectly together because we are all different!

They are energetic, motivated, but are also easy to be distracted! Therefore, one thing I can do to keep them motivated is to have things printed in colors!!

My Project

For this year, I would like to give each of my student their very own basket to take care of. I'm so EXCITED and THRILLED to go back to teach in person. However, I worry about my students as well. They are 5 years old who don't have much school experiences due to COVID. Most of them participated in remote learning for less than 30 minutes a day last year.

I'm thinking to give my students their own individualized basket with their unique learning materials and school supplies.

For example, Some may have counters of 50 and some may have counters of 10 as they are still learning how to count. Our school wants each student to have their own manipulatives and not to share materials. That makes sense to me because it will help to stop spreading the germs! Let's all have a safe year in Kindergarten! Thanks for all your supports!
