My Students

"Do we get to do that?!" is often a phrase heard in 1B. The students in my classroom everyday are eager to learn and try new things. Outside of school they do not typically have many opportunities as I work at a Title 1 school in which many students are a part of the free and reduced lunch program. My school district is in a small community in east Texas and our students do not always have easy access to experiences and opportunities like schools in a bigger city would.

My Project

My students will be able to use these materials in their literacy stations to better understand and learn the things they need to. The different games and books will be put into the reading, writing, and word work stations. All the supplies will help students practice their skills and strengthen the different muscles needed for learning including their finger and brain muscles! The station management chart will make it easier for my students to transition into self management more and more and the games and books will hold their attention for our station time allotment. I know the students will be thrilled to have access to fishing in class as well and I will love that they are working on sight words!
