My Project

I have been teaching science for many years, but also have a degree in art. My classroom activities have been slowly incorporating more artistic opportunities for students through a STEAM approach. Explore science and engineering concepts, apply math and technology, and bring in elements of creativity and artistic expression. COVID has had an impact on learning for all of the students, and one of those areas with the deepest impact is that of art. We previously had a parent-led art program, but with restrictions to who could be on campus, the parent program had to be halted. In the meantime, I have taken on this role as much as possible.

My classroom and students would like to take on some watercolor work using this special set of water brushes.

These brushes not only make for easier clean up, but also help with watercolor mixing and flow on the paper. We also could use a full range of liquid watercolor paint to try over the typical palette-type watercolors.
