This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every year a new group of children enter our rooms. For many, it’s the first time entering a “Big School” with their brothers, sisters, neighbors and friends. I would like these students to have their own, brand new supplies, not something that someone else used the year before. My students this year are very responsible with their supplies but let’s face it, when you use a wipe off board and markers practicing your name and letters everyday, your wipe off board is going to get a little messy.
Let’s start the year off with new supplies.
In doing this, our new group of preschoolers will feel valued, they will feel important and want to do their best on their own wipe off board, not a hand me down. With your help we can empower these little learners from the start and give them a fresh start from the very beginning of their school career.
