My classroom is a learning hub for math and my accelerated kids work hard throughout the school year to learn more than one grade level of math in a year.
Keeping the instruction moving is a must, so our classroom must be organized, stocked with supplies/snacks and full of love and respect.
I like to have projects that help accomplish these goals. We have a classroom store where the kids can buy items and snacks with their Fitzhugh bucks. They also have access to the class snack bin, if they are hungry. It is important for my kids to have access to food if they need it. Hygiene is important and some kids need more care than others. I want all to get what they need. Sometimes kids are just hungry. I put supplies out so they don’t have to ask, they can just take when needed. Of course all of this has to monitored and talked about if anyone abuses it. Thankfully my donors help with all of this. This project will bring some more rolling chairs for stand up desks, snacks for our bin and candy and also Squishmallows for our class store. The leggings are for when my girls need a change of clothes or anyone in our school may need a change of clothing. They go quickly becuase sometimes kids just need a change of clothes. I try to have healthy food options so they understand the importance of nutrition and the importance of picking good food and cooking healthy. Thank you for checking out my project today!
