My Project

My students bring incredible energy and enthusiasm to our classroom each day. They come from a diverse, predominantly Black and Hispanic community and many face numerous challenges, yet they approach each lesson with determination and curiosity. Their resilience and eagerness to learn inspire me constantly.

To help them thrive this school year, we need some essential supplies.

Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will help maintain a clean and healthy environment, which is crucial for keeping our classroom running smoothly and minimizing disruptions caused by illness. Healthy snacks will provide the necessary fuel to keep them focused and energized throughout the day. Hot chips will help motivate them to attend extended day tutoring. A new pencil sharpener will ensure that students always have sharp, ready-to-use pencils, making their writing and drawing tasks more efficient and enjoyable. Paper organizers will help students keep track of their assignments, promoting better organization and reducing the stress of misplaced materials.

We’re also hoping to add a bookshelf dedicated to special books that reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our students while encouraging an interest and passion for science. This will offer them a chance to engage with stories that resonate with their own lives and spark their imaginations.

The goal of this project is to provide a supportive and well-equipped learning environment where students can focus on their education and feel empowered to succeed. These resources will directly impact their ability to stay organized, stay healthy, and stay engaged with their studies. My students are remarkable for their passion and resilience, and with your support, we can ensure they have the tools they need to shine brightly this school year.
