My Students

Have you ever felt overwhelmed about a new job? As a first year teacher, there are so many supplies that are needed. My students are ready to learn and need the proper materials to succeed.

I teach Algebra 1 and Pre-Calculus in a public high school.

I have approximately 25 students in each of my three classes. I teach in a suburban school. However, there are still many students living in poverty. My Algebra 1 class is mainly lower performing students.

My Project

My students need an electric pencil sharpener, an electric stapler and staples, and an electric hole punch. They also need protractors and rulers. The materials requested will help my students stay organized and prepared for class. These materials will also aid in my student's study skills and completion of tasks. Students will be able to add their handouts to their notebooks with the hole punch. They will be able to stay organized, when turning in their assignments, by using the stapler. Lastly, the pencil sharpener will ensure they can always have a working pencil. Students will also be able to complete mathematical tasks easier with the use of protractors and rulers.

An electric hole punch and an electric stapler will help students organize class handouts in their notebooks.

An electric pencil sharpener will help my students be prepared for class and keep them from spending unnecessary time sharpening their pencils during class. Rulers and protractors help students complete tasks. These materials will help the organization of my students' work.
