The Baobab class is comprised of 25 excited 4th grade inquirers that are jubilant to embark upon this new learning year. The class has a very diverse population and they have a variety of ability levels. We want to support and nourish their new diverse classroom experience. They enjoy flexible learning options that are provided in the workshop curriculum which require a highly organized environment.
They are caring, gregarious, open minded, balanced, and reflective.
They are eager to begin the new year and thrilled to explore new learning options in the classroom. They possess an inspirational attititude towards learning. Their love of learning is visible every day and very inspirational!
My Project
The 4th-grade Baobab class needs some diverse texts, highlighters, notebooks, folders and exciting Growth Mindset inspired mentor text options! These are just a few of the items that are needed daily when learning in 4th grade. The class uses a workshop model during reading and math which allows the students independent working time to focus on their unit goals or objective for the day. The organizational supplies requested will set them up for success when they need to access a wide variety of supplies during their independent work time. Many of the books that are requested focus on building upon growth mindset and instilling perseverance.
Only a few weeks into school, these 4th-grade learners have already expressed their love for reading.
It is essential to keep an interesting and updated library which can maintain this love for reading throughout the year.
With a little help, we can instill the lifelong love of learning with this 4th-grade class! They will have access to new text and supplies that help them meet their learning goals.
