Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am working in an ICT classroom where routines are an essential part of our day. They aid both my general ed and special ed students in becoming organized. Help my students start their year off right with a literacy organizer and a behavior management chart to keep them on track.

My students are taught the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

The first habit is: Be Proactive. The students are taught to do this by being responsible and taking the initiative even when no one is looking. I think the behavior and literacy center organizers will help the students in being proactive.

My Project

Visuals are key to keeping kids interested and motivated these days. Therefore two big colorful charts, one a literacy center management chart, another a behavior management chart, along with wipe off pockets and school to home organizers will definitely help my students be aware of their tasks while also encouraging them to be responsible for themselves and their work. All of these materials will positively enhance their learning experiences.

Writing this proposal aligns with Habit number 2 from the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Begin with the end in Mind.

Following this example, I planned ahead and set goals. I have begun trying to help my students successfully organize themselves. My students will use these charts to become responsible independent learners.
