This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Remember buying school supplies and starting the new school year off right? What child does not like to get new things and be prepared for school? Please help my special needs students begin a new year, with new supplies.

What can I tell you about my students?

Well for starters, my students are special needs children that live in a low income neighborhood in New York. Unfortunately, most of my students do not have sufficient funds to buy the supplies they need for school. I do what I can for them, but with the educational budget constraints it is difficult to supply my students with everything they need. They deserve the best and I want to make that happen for them!

My Project

With new school supplies such as, binders, filler paper, dividers and pencils, my students will learn how to be better organized for school and for learning. This skill will also help them as they prepare for high school. These materials will allow them to concentrate on what is being taught and learn how to organize their notes, rather than worrying about all their papers getting misplaced! Please help my students!

Teaching content is important, but organizational skills are just as important. Organizational skills are very important skills that special needs children need to learn. It not only sets them up for high school and college, but also prepares them for life as well!
