Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have entered into a new school year, and have a new group of students. I am looking forward to getting to know them and their little personalities and learning modalities that will help shape my classroom instruction. My students have always been my inspiration, as they push me to think outside of the box to develop learning experiences to meet their varying interests and diverse needs.

I teach at a Title I school where I am lucky enough to get to work with such dedicated and hardworking students.

I also get to partner with a group of supportive parents and equally supportive staff who share the common goal of creating a learning environment where all children will succeed!

My Project

The materials I am requesting are supplies needed as we begin the new school year. Organizational materials such as pocket folders and zip bags will be helpful for students to sort and store work. Additional student materials such as pens, highlighters, and white boards will be used for writing and visual display of student generated work. Some supplies such as staples and ink are all consumable items that need replacing for the new school year.

I hope to instill in my students a sense of responsibility as students learn to keep materials organized and clean up after themselves when messes are made.

A clean classroom makes for a very happy teacher and functioning working space for students! :-) The other supplies I am requesting will be used to help keep the classroom germ free! Cleaning supplies such as Kleenex wipes will be used to clean faces and hands while the baby wipes will be used to wipe down tables in order to minimize the spread of germs. The use of the mop will keep our classroom floors clean in high traffic areas.
