My Project

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, our scholars have had various school experiences over the last several years: fully in-person learning, hybrid learning, fully virtual learning, or some combination of all three. They have met challenges with resilience, flexibility, and grace, and though my group of third graders next year have never experienced a 'non-COVID' school year, they are so excited to move up to upper elementary in what they lovingly call the big kids' hall.

I have worked alongside this group of scholars as a support specialist in years past, and I am so excited to have them as third graders in my very first classroom!

In order to get everyone started off on the right foot, I would like to provide scholars with the basic supplies they will need for success this year. With this project, I would like to provide each scholar in my class with a box of crayons, and several pencils to get them started. I would also like to provide them with three sets of cribbage boards for our math 'May Do' choice boards. If they are finished with their math assignment, scholars may choose an activity from the 'May Do' bins, which are full of fun choices to practice math skills through games. Cribbage is a fun, classic game that uses tons of math skills and will be such a hit! Finally, I'd like to provide them with bins to store our supplies and math 'May Do' activities.
