Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These materials will be used to transform our school library into a reading cafe. As we celebrate Literacy Week, we aim to provide our 3rd-5th grade students with a truly memorable experience that will inspire them to develop a passion for reading.

Students will sit in cafe tables, sip on hot cocoa, and quietly read various genres of books.

By getting to "taste" different genres of books, we want our students to realize that reading not only builds knowledge but can be fun too.

This is a school-wide initiative that we hope can motivate our students to appreciate literature and become stronger readers.
