My students are highly curious and motivated in the art room and throughout their day. They are engaged in their learning and are always eager to try new things. We have been recognized for our commitment to innovation and student growth.

In 3rd grade art, students are learning about careers in art, and how artists impact our everyday lives. They have been hard at work all year creating their own art and designs as they learn about different creative careers.
My Project
Third-grade students will be taking a trip to the Denver Art Museum his year as part of their study of careers in art. We are very lucky to be visiting the museum while they have a special exhibit called Star Wars and the Power of Costume.
Students will have the chance to see costumes from the movies, as well as delve into the behind the scenes process of designing and creating the costumes.
I believe this connection to their interests will be hugely engaging and help them see the art that is all around them. I can already see their excitement and wonder as we discuss the upcoming trip.
