My Students

My students attend a K-5th grade school for children with Autism. They are energetic, creative, and come from families who are currently supporting remote learning with dynamic dedication! They are NYC STRONG, bringing their strengths from a diverse pool of cultural and socio- economic backgrounds! I am so proud of my students who are participating during remote learning through technology that has been provided by the NYCDOE. My students continue to exhibit their special talents and personalities on a screen, even though the learning platform is a departure from a traditional classroom setting. My students love to learn!

My Project

The Lamicall Tablet Stands will provide optional positioning for my students iPads. During the coronavirus pandemic, my students and their families have struggled with the ability to adequately and securely position their iPads during all aspects of remote learning. From family members holding iPads, to students inadvertently changing the positioning of the devices, teaching has been interrupted.

If my students are provided with stable positioning devices for their iPads, visual attention during screen time becomes more consistent, and educators will be able to efficiently view student's work as performed on a tabletop, with the unique positioning feature on the Lamicall Stand.

Students will be able to focus more on learning, and less on technological challenges!
