Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am asking for two standing desks for my 5th/6th grade classroom. A standing desk can be beneficial for students in the classroom by improving posture, increasing focus, and reducing the negative effects of prolonged sitting. For students with sleep problems, standing encourages movement and energy expenditure, which can help regulate sleep patterns and reduce restlessness. For students with autism, standing desks allow for more flexibility in movement, helping them manage sensory needs and increase engagement in learning by offering a more comfortable, dynamic environment. Our school has a high number of students with autism

I love how each of my students brings their own unique perspective, curiosity, and energy to the classroom.

It's inspiring to see them grow, not just academically, but personally. The resources we use in class—whether it’s interactive tools, diverse reading materials, or hands-on activities—are tailored to meet their individual learning styles.
