My Students

I teach 4th Grade at an extremely high-poverty school in Middle Tennessee. I teach to many backgrounds including many ESL students, non-English speaking children, homeless students, and many that considered high-at-risk-students.

One of my goals in teaching is to allow students to not being stationary all day, but wiggle and move.

My Project

I want to provide my students will a variety of flexible seating options for them to choose from to best meet their needs.​ I've got wobble chairs to allow for movement, but I have students that like to stand and be able to work. I'm hoping the students who receive these will be able to remain on task and focus longer. I would like for all students to have the opportunity to choose a flexible seating option that meet their needs and be able to excel in the classroom.

I have several students in my class with ADD/ADHD or learning disabilities.

The stand-up desks will allow for students to either stand up or sit to work. They can roll together to complete group work or separate to sit or stand to work.
