My Project

Vertical learning, ever heard of it? I have, and I would love to be able to have my students learn Math using this method to not only engage them but to actually be the teachers of themselves and peers. My goal for this project is to introduce Vertical Math as a new engaging way to learn/teach Math this year. Our Math Scores have really gone down and I believe that one of the reasons for this is because students are use to the teacher standing in the front of the room modeling Math, after they complete a worksheet or work in small groups.

Using our new white boards, dry erase markers and erasers students will be working all around the room in groups STANDING to work out Curriculum and non Curriculum math.

We will use the storage bins and ziplock bags to store our materials for the day. The index cards and math titles will be used during class time for answers as well as enrichment activities.
